Steak Bread-Boat

Ingredients
•250gr New York Strip Beef Steak

•For the Herbed Butter:
If you don't want the fuss of making your own, find them on the @greekbutcher site
To make your own:
150gr Softened butter
1 garlic head
10gr parsley
20gr green tops of spring onions
1/2tsp Salt
1/2tsp Honey
•1 Sourdough Batard

•4 Mozzarella Slices
Method
•Herbed Butter:
Preheat oven at 200C
Cut the top of the garlic and remove its excess skin
Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 30mins
In a food processor add the parsley and green tops and blend them
Add the rest of the herbed butter ingredients and blend until the butter has a green-ish hue
Cover and let aside until use.
•Meanwhile prepare the steak:
Butter both sides of the steak with the herbed butter
Place in hot and buttered cast-iron pan
Cook each side for 3-4mins
Sprinkle coarse salt and black pepper and let it rest for 5-10mins
•Prepare the Sourdough Batard:
Cut and remove the top and crumb of the batard, creating a rectangle-shaped "boat" for the filling
•Spread the Herbed Butter on the insides of the bread
Place 2 Mozzarella Slices inside
Slice the steak cross-wise and devour...erm. place it in
Add 2 more Mozzarella Slices on top
Bake in the oven for ~15mins or until the cheese melts and browns
